... or through wind and tornadoes if you live here right now. That's my obgyn! He will brave the elements for his patients! Actually, it hasn't been that bad at all (except to the local media who desperately need for us all to be in mortal danger for the ratings). But when Dr. P. came into the room and gave me his customary hug he boomed, "So here you are my weather tight friend!" Don't worry. He's a little off, but it's a good off if you know what I mean.

I've mentioned Dr. P before. He's my other favorite doctor. I love him to pieces. I've never seen "Dr. T and the women," but when I visit there, I always think to myself, "It's Dr. P and the women!" Seriously, is the doctor in that movie beloved by his patients? Or am I unknowingly insulting Dr. P? In any case, Dr. P. is very busy and very sought after. It's difficult to get a first time appointment with him. And once I started going there, I found out why. He's the most genuine, caring, good doctor I've met in a long time. He's humble but confident and intelligent but not condescending. Tell me how often you find those traits in a doctor!

He is another chart reader and even seems to remember who. I. AM! After his brisk greeting (I always feel like I'm in the presence of a true whirlwind when he's around... a kind and caring whirlwind, but crazy just the same), he spun right into, "Have you lost weight? You look skinny! Don't worryit'sthegoodkindoflosingweight! Don't lose anymore! You look good!" I explained to him about the synthroid, my tsh - all that jazz. He very carefully noted all the changes that have happened since we last spoke and declared his intention to get more records from the RE. He remembered what had been going on with my pregnancy attempts and is always just the right mix of sympathetic and optimistic with nary a trace of assvice. have I mentioned that I love this man?

So now he's on the wagon with Endo as well. They are going to tag team to help me be healthy and possibly help me get pregnant. Just like Endo, he said, "If you get pregnant, you call me immediately! You need to come in the very next day! Tell them I said so!! And just in case, here is the name of a compounding pharmacy and a script for progesterone suppositories!" RE#2 didn't even attempt to help me get the compounded suppositories. Endo also told me that if I get pregnant that my first call was to be to the obgyn, then her immediately. (then she allowed that maybe I could tell DH in there sometime too.) Dr. P said, "We don't want another luteal phase loss or any other loss for that matter! We'd keep you on the Met (glucophage) for 12 weeks just to be sure!"**

Sigh. I love it when doctors take care of me and let me have a say in my treatment.

**While doing the exam, one other thing he said was, "Sorry honey. I know that's uncomfortable. I know this isn't your favorite test. Heck, if it was me, I've often thought I'd be kickin' the guy who's down there in the head. He also told me I have "dense um.. girls" and that they are going to be lumpy like that forever, but as long as the lumps are my normal lumps it's all ok. They never seemed lumpy to me. Aaah Dr. P. Gotta love 'im.
