Mixed Bag

I want to thank you all so much for being so supportive about my therapist questions and about my ovulation! Your overwhelming response definitely helped me feel good about my decision to fire her immediately. As fate would have it, I got a call back yesterday about a therapist who used to work closely with my beloved OBGYN. I will definitely be giving her a call to schedule an appointment. I'm also planning to call my insurance company and talk to them about Non-Dr. B.

On a good note, I had a girls' get together at my house over the weekend. It felt so good just to hang out and not worry about stuff for once. I worry way too much.

On a bad note, I'm realizing again just how much I need to see a therapist. Some of the "fixing my team" stuff didn't go so well, and I know that I alone, will never change how my team is managed. I did as much as I can do without damaging myself, and that depresses me. The problem is, it depresses me beyond what is reasonable. I am almost in despair over it. I know that may be the progesterone from my luteal phase talking, but I'm sure it's also a large part of that self esteem crack caused by IF that's bleeding into all aspects of my life. I need to get a handle on some of this. Until I can, I will focus on me and do my job. That's all I can do.

More info on this lovely aspect in Unsung Lullabies chapters to come.

YAH for the call from a prespective therapist. I am thinking of you today. I am sorry you are in such a state of despair - my heart is going out to you today!

I hope this new therapist works out better. That last one was an idiot.

I completely know the depressed feeling. That's why I decided I am just not going to think about babies anymore. It takes way too much energy and causes way too much stress. I really think you should take a day and just pamper yourself. Go get a massage or a facial or both. Take a day and do what makes you the happiest, and determine that you are not going to think about anything upsetting that day. That's what I do, and it has really helped me. I actually just went and spent $700 on microderm and hair laser removal treatments! lol! I figured after everything I had been through, I deserved a little TLC. I highly recommend it. Its time to just focus on you and feeling better.

Big hugs and happy thoughts for you!

I'm so glad that you've found a different therapist -- I hope this one works out much better!

I think Chellebez provides some excellent advice, something we probably all need to take. It doesn't have to be expensive either. Just spend a guilt-free me day to do something you love -- maybe reading, or strolling through a mall, or going to a chick movie by yourself. Getting all wrapped up in IF is depressing.

::hugs:: I hope you're feeling in better spirits soon. I wish I could send you some Wawa coffee :)
