This is Elizabeth proving to Austin that he will be a good big brother. (Always helpful that Elizabeth)
Austin says, "See Mommy? I am a good boy and let girls and younger babies push my head down on giant turtles whenever they want to! I'll be a good big brother!" He didn't fight her at all.Mind you this was just after she had pulled his hair. Her face reflected a fascination and the impression that this was quite a new and puzzling experiment. Maria watches with the presence of the innocent bystander.
