New Food and Old Whines

Time off with the Hub - it's sweet.

We had dinner last night at our favoritest Mexican place. YUM! I tried something I'd never had before - horchata! It was gritty, yet tasty. The intense spice of the cinnamon was a delicious foil for the sweet, milky looking drink. What a fun new find!

In other news - so much for having better and better ovulation. It's cycle day 25, with no ovulation in sight. Last time was cycle day 26. And of course now I'm berating myself about eating that sugar here, or not getting enough sleep there. I logically know it's impossible to live the nun-like existence it would take to be perfect for my reproductive system, but that doesn't stop me from mulling over my mistakes.

It ~is~ hard not to look back and pick out the things you could have done differently.

But don't be hard on yourself - you have made more sacrifices and have more resolve than any woman I have ever met with PCOS. If anyone could beat PCOS with a stick and bury it under a rock, it would be you!

As I sit here eating my Sour Cream and Chive Chips drinking a coke that I will hate myself for later on in the game, I get it. Guilt, worry and hatred over our bodies are just so unbrain worthy. Yet, it takes up so much of the mental space up there. I am sorry.

Cool drink - never heard of it.

Thanks Jamie. I feel very unworthy of that pronouncement, but it makes me feel great just the same. :)

Farah - Thanks for getting it. xo

You really do amazingly well with your diet and lifestyle, you know.

We also had Mexican food for dinner last night. It was delicious. Enchiladas!

Don't beat yourself up over it. Shoulda, coulda, woulda's never get us what we want and make us miserable in the process.

Oh, and I made some of your Ghiradelli Brownies this weekend, too!

Thanks girls. I really needed the pick me up. I'm really angry with food and with my body right now.

Seussgirl - so glad you got to have the brownies. :)

Horchata IS yummy. Be kind to yourself, there is only so much one can do.
