Medicine Head

This sickness is just the gift that keeps on giving. Just when you're feeling better and think the worst is over, the next set of symptoms comes up. I took my mid-term despite it since I was no longer alternately shivering my teeth out and sweating my skin off. The tiny mallets banging away behind my eyes and the big one on top of my head had eased quite a bit as well.

I did not do well.

Ah well. These things happen. Sometimes it makes me wonder though why I do choose things that are harder for me? Why don't I go for a journalism degree, a history degree... something in which I feel I was born to revel. Why do I have to make it hard on myself?

As for the sickness, I am now onto a coughing/congestion phase. I remember reading on various boards that you should take decongestants to thin your cervical mucous to make it easier to conceive. I always found that interesting, but never tried it. Let me tell you - it sure works. If abundant CM were all that was required for successful conception, I'd be having the octuplets.

Top tip. sorry you had to find out if it works the hard way. I guess the last thing you are feeling like now is putting that into practice!

I tried that decongestant thing. It didn't work.

Don't worry about the grades. At this point in your life, grades don't matter anymore. Trust me, as a former used-to-work-in-the-employment-field person.

I'm sorry your illness is still hanging around. Hubby's is also lingering - he is happily reminding me today is Day 17. We went to see Lord of the Dance last night and it was all he could do to keep from coughing through the whole thing. I don't know who I felt worse for - him or the people sitting around us.

So sorry about your midterm. Sucks!

Are you just looking for a porn deal?

Oh and yes a few yrs ago I also tried that trick with no success.

You can always go back and get a PhD in Underwater Basket Weaving

I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. :-( Although if it makes you feel better, I laughed at the CM - octuplet part of that post! I never thought I'd be laughing about cervical mucous, but hey, life's an adventure, huh? :-)

Thanks Kristin and Malloryn!

Thanks Jen. Yeah.. I like that part of grad school. It's just that I need to keep a B to stay in the program and to be reimbursed by my company. bleh.

Jamie - Poor hub. :( Hope he gets better soon too! This stuff that has been flying around lately really has staying power! I'm VERY glad I've evaded it for THIS long!

Farah - maybe I'll go for the porn deal over the basket weaving. ;-)

Heather - Glad I made you laugh! I always take it as a high compliment from you. :) And no.. I never imagined I'd even be SAYING cervical mucus in such a blase way, let alone joking about it.
